I am a UX/UI Designer who combines a passion for visually captivating interfaces with a growing expertise in user experience, creating innovative designs that artfully blend branding elements to deliver impactful and user-centric experiences.
My final project for the year was a live brief commissioned by award-winning startup Kasaie, a data insights and e-commerce platform that recommends products, tailored tips and haircare services. The business has recognised a particular gap in the haircare market regarding a lack of effective and, most importantly, free hair consultations specifically for individuals with textured hair. Kasaie seeks to provide that for their target customer with the use of an AI-powered, free consultation, and they hired me to redesign their website.
This project was equally as much of a branding project as a UX/UI project. Carrying out rigorous research to identify customer pain points and coming up with effective user experience solutions was only half of the work. Kasaie had a very rough and ultimately ineffective brand identity, meaning I had to make several changes such as the colour palette and font selection. On the left is the finalised, revised, full logotype for the brand. To further explore the brand identity, mockups of a potential business card design as well as a Kasaie product line were devised below.
The website provides users with a free AI consultation, which provides them with a comprehensive overview of their hair needs, personalised product recommendations, as well as the opportunity to contact haircare professionals should they need further assistance. The website also provides access to solely afro-haircare products, and provides general haircare information in their Info Hub.
SWAY is what you would call a quitter’s best friend. With smoking and vaping becoming increasingly prevalent within our society, I identified that the most challenging aspect of quitting lies in overcoming the habit itself. Paired with a specialized vape device, SWAY limits the number of puffs allowed per day and gradually reduces this over time, guiding users toward the ultimate goal of quitting entirely. The app allows users to track their quitting journey entirely, providing support through chats with advisors and the community.
CHOW DOG FOOD
Ever wondered what we actually put in our dog food? This project explored the dangers of cheap, store-bought dog food, proposing a healthy alternative called CHOW.
CHOW is a raw diet brand for dogs, ensuring nutrient-packed meals that can be delivered right to your doorstep. I really enjoyed this project, as it provided me with the opportunity to explore my creativity in branding and packaging design. I thoroughly enjoyed the process and the freedom it offered to bring unique and captivating concepts to life.
