‘The KneasyLift‘
… The gentle start to standing.
The ‘KneasyLift’ is a device used by older people to assist them in rising from a fall. Designed for fallers without injuries who need assistance getting back up during the backwards chaining process but do not require an ambulance.
The Problem…
Around 1 in 3 adults over 65, and half of people over 80 will have at least one fall a year. Unaddressed fall hazards in the home are estimated to cost the NHS in England £435 million and puts pressure on emergency services, with the average wait time for an ambulance being +2 hours (often exceeding +8 hours).
How is it used?
The device is designed to help with a procedure called ‘the backwards chaining’ process, for falls. This is an activity that faller’s would undertake after having a fall, to help them back on to their feet. When used with an air pump, such as the “Mangar Airflo 12/24,” the knee-pad is inflated, assisting the user in rising from the ground.

‘banknotes’ is a digital display unit aimed to help families through a military ‘Permanent Change of Station’ (PCS) procedure.
A PCS is an assignment of a new appointee to an official station or the transfer of an employee from one official station to another on a permanent basis.
15% of military families will move six or more times. PCS moving comes with cost-of-living-based lifestyle adjustments with each new place you go. That means creating a brand new budget with each new order to move. Moving home on a frequent basis has financial consequences which places even more pressure of military families.
‘banknotes.’ shows different categories to help the family keep on track on their ‘PCS’ move.
Providing the family with valuable information so they can be prepared best and have a smooth transition from one home to the next.

Work Experience
V2 Studios, (Design Consultancy) London
I undertook my University placement year at V2 Studio Consultancy in London. Working closely with 12 other designers, I contributed and completed client live projects throughout the year. I have developed my knowledge & performance in an range of different programs including, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, Rhino CAD, photography and rapid prototyping. Working towards tight deadlines and budgets, my experience within a fast working consultancy has been exciting and highly valuable.
Vitamin Living, (Interior design + Lighting) London
Along side my work at V2 Studios, I was responsible for overseeing their interior design brand ‘Vitamin Living’. I managed the day-to-day running of the company, working at the forefront of customer service, social media content creation and liaising with manufacturers globally. My key focus was to ensure the customers & client orders were fulfilled on time and company logistics was efficiently managed.
