Final Year Project

The Eczatrons

Eczema is a skin condition that affects 1 in 5 children across the UK. Although there is a lot of treatment readily available to treat the physical symptoms, people tend to overlook the emotional effects that having eczema can have on a person. This is where The Eczatrons step in.

Research has shown that children suffering from eczema have a higher chance of developing anxiety and depression due to feeling embarrassed because of their skin. This subsequently causes low self esteem issues and these negative feelings tend to stick with a person as they grow older.

They would be handed this box at the doctors, that contains three booklets and a routine chart. The booklets have phrases that educate them and others on their condition and teach the child that having eczema shouldn’t stop you from doing the things you love.

The Eczatrons are here to create a positive environment for children aged 7-9 years old. Through the use of bold colours and quirky paper mechanisms, my goal was to educate the children on how eczema is nothing to be embarrassed about and how it should not stop you from living the life you want to live.

We also want to emphasise to the child that they are not alone in their journey with eczema and that there are other children around the UK who are going through a similar journey. We created an online support group where children and their parents can meet other eczema hero’s near them.

The last component is the routine chart that the child can fill out after their doctors appointment. They can put this on their wall and use it everyday to stay on track with putting their creams on…happier skin means happier child! They can also print off new routine charts through the Eczatron website. They’re on their way to becoming an Eczatron Champion!

Killer K

This project was to create and brand a product made of waste material. Using the peels of banana, Killer K will fight those stubborn verrucas away using 100% natural ingredients!

Our trusted manifesto for the product…want to know how we’re making it 100% natural and eco friendly? Take a look at our system map below.

Systems map to show how ingredients would be sourced, product would be manufactured and recycled back into the system…making it 100% sustainable.
