Final Project
Decibel is a classroom noise monitoring device designed to establish and revolutionise noise level standards in primary schools. Its innovative features encourage students to collaboratively grow a virtual garden, through the Decibel software, while maintaining noise level thresholds within classrooms offering a healthy, enriching and engaging learning environment for both students and teachers.
The system comprises of a set of five devices, and a remote control, stored within a sleek and rechargeable package. Designed to effortlessly adapt to the dynamic needs of the classroom. Each device is placed at the centre of the table and utilises a user-friendly traffic light colour-coded system to indicate varying noise level thresholds.
Decibel goes beyond noise monitoring as it recognises the importance of nurturing the learning environment by seamlessly incorporating meditation and mindfulness features. Additionally, allowing students to create a customisable virtual garden with endless themes, environments and objects to grow. With every achievement their virtual classroom garden flourishes, creating a sense of accomplishment and pride.
