Final Project
Timeless Connections
Inspired by my friends and family, my final project explores the idea that people are a combination of who they surround themselves with. I have displayed multiple portraits in a nonsensical order to present a family tree without the notion of time.
Using a triad colour scheme, my portraits consist of primary colour acrylic paints on canvas, contrasting a the complexity of relationships with a simplistic colour scheme.
I present my portraits by hanging them on the wall, mimicking the way that other artists create oil painting portraits which are hung high on a wall, to signify the subject’s importance.

Journey to the Show
Experimenting with a primary colour scheme and textured painting style.
I included my sketches in my final outcome to show my presence in the process, and relate back to the idea of a self portrait.
