Final Project
Changing Landscapes
For this project I have looked closely at the natural landscape I have grown up around, where the land is being managed with dredging and vegetation removal for a temporary solution to flood control, consequently damaging the natural environment.
My Process
Through my work, I have studied the eroded riverbanks. Studying the soil, and using it as a medium to paint with to help inform and inspire my ceramic vessels.
I have experimented with casting into the soil, letting the earth of the landscape define my form. Capturing the network of roots from the vegetation the landscape is reliant on.
